Tension appears to be mounting ahead of Princess Martha Louise of Norway and Durek Verrett's wedding this summer. 

The princess, 52, a second cousin once removed of our late Queen, has condemned the 'lies' being told in some of her country's media about the family background of the 'shaman', 49, a self-styled 'global ambassador of love' who is known as Hollywood's hottest guru and boasts of contact with aliens.

'The truth is that he grew up in a good neighbourhood,' she says in an angry post online. 

'It is not important to me whether he was from a family with money or not as a child.'

She adds of the local coverage: 'It is so sad that it needs to be this way as a wedding should be a joyous occasion for everyone involved.'

 

Online trickster taking the Mick

Hollywood's Salma Hayek tickles the fancy of her fans by sharing photographs of herself in skimpy outfits. But her family appear to find it increasingly tiresome.

The actress, 57, who is married to French luxury goods heir Francois-Henri Pinault, posted this shot of her being sprayed in the face with water while on the steps of a yacht while on holiday.

Charity bash leaves Charles with black eye

Commiserations to the Duke of Rutland's son and heir, the Marquess of Granby, who is sporting a black eye — though it's all for a good cause.

Charles Granby, 24, was fighting in preparation for his latest charity boxing ball, which takes place this Saturday in the guardroom at Belvoir Castle, the family seat in Leicestershire.

'This is the point where everyone's sparring each other so we're getting in the ring, putting the headgear on, putting the gloves on and going 'Ding ding',' he tells me.
